Market Garden a success??

    What if operation Market Garden had been a great success ?? Would it realy end the war before Christmass???

    Very doubtful indeed. In fact - no.

    Antwerp had still not been taken, the German forces in the South Beveland Peninsula were still intact and would have threatened the Allied flank,, the Allied lines of supply would have been vastly over-stretched - and basically, the Germans were much stronger than the Allies assumed, the basic reason why Market Garden went wrong.....
