Medal cards/roll

hi all

I'm looking for my grandfathers medal card to get his service number. Are these available?? Have looked on NA website and ancestry but with no result.

Any where else I might find this??

I'm assuming you're coming from WW1 experience with the Medal card reference?
I don't think they're quite the same thing for WW2.
I'm no expert, but there's a few threads on WW2T by chaps who understand this stuff - seem to recall Service Records are always the best start.:

Yes i have been doing a lot of ww1, now for my granddad and uncle which seems to be a lot harder!!
