    Russia seems to be doing alright so far. What's interesting is that Kadirov (Chechen president) sent his Spetznas into Iraq and Syria as ISIS was forming. Being Muslim and Chechen they had no problem infiltrating the terrorists. It is with their help that the Russians are able to target terrorists with such precision and efficiency.

    ISIS and other terrorists movements grew with the US campaign and quickly shrank when Russia entered.

    Time for a bit of thread necromancy.

    I not that time has shown Merkel's apparent fears to be unjustified.

    Except of course the evidence is that they aren't. Indeed Russia targeted those actively opposing the Assad Regime rather than ISIS.

    Putin win the elections. How long can he go? He had made a dynasty but who is the follower? Surely not Medvedev. Will there be a civil war if Putin does not choose a strong follower. You know open elections might Lead to chaos. Kph

    The Ukraine conflict made many European countries to start rearming. For instance Sweden started conscripting again after putting an end to their national army in 2010 and only professionals army existed.

    Putin has been in the upper echelons of power for nearly 20 years. If he’s bent on rebuilding the “Russian Empire” then he is surely taking his time :D

    I fail to see a civil war in Russia in the foreseeable future.

    Or bit off more than he can chew. Making sure he's in charge of said "Empire" may also be a bit of a handicap.

    the fact they put their video of shooting a big plane they thought was Ukrainian and once they realized it was a civilian plane removed the video from the net. However, the shooting video was already saved by at least thousands of people around the world.

    Given the line he spewed I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bund wasn't in the employ of the Russians. He did participate in a few threads that didn't touch on them and was fairly reasonable there but when it came to anything concerning Russia he was like a mouth piece for Russian propaganda. Not that we don't still have at least one that fits that mold.

    I am also surprised that the civilian planes were allowed to fly over the military zone. However you Do not send ground-to-air missiles towards whatever you can. And why were the missile armored Cars driven to Russia after the incident? Innocent do not escape with a missile missing.

    Russia doesn’t have cars that shoot missiles. Tho the truck I believe which you are referring to had already been debunked. No evidence has yet been presented which places blame on any side. The story just went away...

    Debunked? When? Where? The 'Story' didn't go away, it just got tiresome in face of Russian denial.

    Clear and direct evidence points firmly at the people and units involved.

    In October 2015, the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) concluded that the airliner was downed by a Buk surface-to-air missile (NATO reporting name: SA-11 Gadfly) launched from pro-Russian separatist-controlled territory in Ukraine. WebCite query result

    In September 2016, the Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team (JIT) confirmed the missile type which had downed the aircraft and said that the Buk missile system had been transported from Russia on the day of the crash, fired from a field in a rebel controlled area and returned to Russia after the Buk was used to shoot down MH17. The JIT had established the identities of approximately 100 people, witnesses or suspects, who were linked to the transporting of the Buk, but said that their evidence "must stand before a court". Statement by the minister of Foreign Affairs on MH17, 5 July 2017

    Between November 2014 and May 2016, UK-based investigative collective Bellingcat made a series of conclusions, based on their examination of photos in social media and other open-source information. Bellingcat said that the launcher used to shoot down the aircraft was Buk 332 of the Russian 53rd Anti-Aircraft Rocket Brigade based in Kursk, Russia, which had been transported from Donetsk to Snizhne and was controlled by separatists in Ukraine on the day of the attack. https://www.bellingcat.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/53rd-report-public.pdf

    In July 2015, Malaysia proposed that the United Nations Security Council set up an international tribunal to prosecute those deemed responsible for the downing of the plane. The Malaysian resolution gained a majority on the Security Council, but was vetoed by Russia. United Nations Official Document

    The current trend of misbehaviour of the Russian state gets tiresome. Furthermore, it is dangerous in the extreme, as it undermines any credibility of that state to act in other theatres and be believed.

    Another gas weapon attack against civilians. I believe the sateĺlites show who did it. And one airfield was bombed. Where do these gas weapons come from and first of all why Russia does not say what it sees through their sateĺlites. Why?

    The Soviets...Sorry, Russia, only say what it sees with their satellites when it benefits them.

    Of course, with off- the-shelf technology, most anything can be reasonably faked. No longer are pictures worth 1000 words.

    26 months it took to release the Russian radar information. Some Russian radar information was released two days prior to the release of the original JIT report. It wasn't in ASTERIX-format, the standard pan-european format for civil use. The information was all in Russian, and provided without manuals of any kind. The timing and nature of the release could indicate an attempt to derail and delay the release of the report, if anybody was of a suspicious nature.

    Therefore, no objects such as a BUK-missile in the vicinity of MH17 are visible. According to the expert, causes of that may be:
     there was no object in the vicinity of MH17;
     there was an object near MH17, but the object was too small to be detected by the radar;
     there was an object near MH17 and it was detected, but the detection was removed by filters of the radar station;
     the object was detected, but the data were removed manually afterwards.
    Based on previous findings the JIT has already established that flight MH17 was taken down by a BUK-missile. Therefore the first cause does not apply.
    -JIT MH17 appendix press release April 3, 2018
    We can also conclude that the second point is also invalid; a BUK-missile is not too small to be detected by the radar in question. This is not a point of disagreement. The Russians also state this.

    It is not uncommon that rapidly accelerating and high-speed objects are filtered, to reduce clutter (as discussed in the report). Of course, it is highly remarkable that it took so very long to provide only some of the requested data... It is also remarkable, that radar information from other sites has not been released, in spite of formal JIT requests.

    Must've been aliens.
