    M3A1 Scout car in France during the summer of 1944, its overall olive drab painted over with a black pattern.

    Dodge 4x4 weapons carrier in France, summer 1944, painted in the basic olive drab but with field drab pattern painting on both the vehicle and the canvas tilt; the latter was unusual on U.S. Army vehicles, the canvas usually being left as manufactured.
