Tomcat approached us earlier in the week, asking that he be removed as a moderator, citing family needs as the reason for the request. He is the father of several young children already and recently had another. Those of you with children can appreciate the time constraints posed by this change. Tomcat has been a great moderator and we appreciate his presence on the other side of the world, as he took care of lot problems that cropped up during the night, night for those of us in North America and Europe, that is. Tomcat will change to Trustee status and will oversee the WWII General forum. Thank you, Tomcat, for all your hard work in the past.
Tomcat was always a great help on the forums or even if he needed to be approached via PM for questions/suggestions. And congratulations on the new addition to the family Tomcat!
Thanks guys, but don't worry I will still be wondering around, and if you need any help, although I am not a moderator any more I will be more than willing to help you in any way I can.
Singing!.... "He's the wow! He's the hit! He's the champion-ship! He's the most tip top! TOM-CAT!" Fans of the 70's cartoon will recognise the lyrics immediately. Some pretty jazzy trumpet work in that theme as well. Good luck with the new kitten, a most welcome addition to the Tomcat clan!
Darn it, I was just getting used to him being in charge of the night watch, but now ill not be sleeping very well :-( But seriously, sorry to see that time is a big problem for you as I was just getting used to seeing your name with that badge next to it ;-)) You DID do one hell of a good jobe.
Since I had been a moderator for the time I was, I still see problems and want to chase them down, move threads as I see them, and even feel the need to stomp on someone out of line. I have however refrained from this too much since I no longer have the title, and I know that can cause problems. But as I said, I will still keep an eye out, with the time I have, I still feel like it is a responsibility of mine.
Tomcat I understand where you are coming from friend. You gotta take the time with the kiddos while you can. Thanks for your fair and even handed execution of your duties. You helped make this a great place to be.
