ok...let's add in elements of support to the base... 1 tank brigade 1 infranty division 5 attack heliocopter 1 squad of artillery and 1 squadron of A-4 skyhawks i know those obove could not be there if this was a REAL base...just add them in so that the modern can have a better chance...like can they withstand a few attacks long enough to made contact with allied force? can they actually hand over command to allied force? and how will they solve their ammountions after a few battle?
Just to back up a tad - just why would the old force have an advantage in the daylight? In this scenario, where a modern force is on the Polish side in 1939, they would therefore be on the defensive. So they dig in, and wait for the enemy to get near, then employ their superior firepower. Plus they have better training & tactics (after all, 20:20 hindsight of the whole of WW2 + ever conflict since, whereas the Germans in 1939 were still perfecting their Blitzkrieg tactics.
Their the Germans would have very little or no advantage, but i was also talking 43-44 German soldier, not 39 in Poland ! KBO
