Most effective portable anti-tank weapon of WWII ?

    Maybe this topic heading should be changed to "Man Portable Anti-Tank Weapon?" An 88 is portable.

    Not really. Portable means "capable of being carried". Not even a team of Arnies could carry an 88 mm. The correct term for such guns is "mobile".

    The R.Pz.B.54 was 88 mm. too ;)

    that is the only portable anti tank thing I know of. :oops:

    i believe the germans had a very powerful hand grenade. i think it was a regular grenade with explosive tied around it. i remember right it was powerful enough to knock out a tank
