I don't think that any one person can be pointed out. There are definately a lot of candidates, though. The usual suspects would probably be Hitler, Himmler, Heydrich and Mengele, however Stalin should also be mentioned.
Definately Hitler. Here are my nominees for second place 1.Martial Peitan 2.Quisling (SP) 3.Pierre Laval 4.Muossalini (SP forgot how to spell his name again) 5.Himmler 6.The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (He helped Hitler on condition that he be given permission to kill the jews in "Palestine") 7.Sir Mosley 8.Duke of Winscors 9.Keital 10.Doenitz (He was the Hitlers heir) 11.Goering I would go on and on with second place nominees, but there are too many of them.
Tojo, Tojo and Tojo Wasn'y he the only high ranking Japenese official connected to the massacres in China and Indochina? Also doesn't the execution of the inventor of the Kamakaze mean that Arafat deserves worse then death? Afterall Arafats PLO does suicide bombing against civilians, the Japanese Kamakaze only targeted military targets. just a thought.
The inventor of the kamikazes, Admiral Ohnishi, was not executed. He committed suicide at the end of the war.
Arguably, you have 2 main groups - 1) those who deliberately planned & started the war, thus causing all the bloodshed. 2) those who happily killed other humans, either through a love of killing or a refusal to see the victims as human.
The most evil??? Depends on your point of view. Mine is that Hitler was on top. A genius by any standards but it must be added at once that he was an evil genius; one of the most decadent of all time. :smok:
First category: a tie between the Axis great leaders, Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo. Second category: Heydrich, by far.
my top of the pops here goes to Stalin without a doubt his brutality exceeded that of hitler and he inflicted it on friend and foe without remorse. to him evrybody was an enemy and therefore a target he spared no one, tens of millions died at his hand. remeber all pows taken by the germans nearly 6 million russians, were classed as traitors all who survived captivity in germany were arrested and sent to the gulags. it is estimated that between coming to power and his death in 1953 he was responsible for the deaths of nearly 40 million!!
I think if Hitler had reached his goals he would have killed much more people than Stalin. Don't forget what his idea of Lebensraum meant, he wanted to "extinct" large parts of the slavic people. Hundreds of millions would have died.
It's a little dubious to start comparing the crimes of horrible dictators, calling one worse than the other while it's not really about the numbers of people killed, but the willingness of the dictator to have those people killed. At least Stalin didn't have any theories of racial inferiority and extinction in favour of a 'better' group.
I think Quisling qualifies better for most pathetic man of WWII than anything else, with Mosley as the obvious runner-up.
No Stalin just liked killing people I would list the top.3 as this. 1: Stalin 2: Hitler 3: Heinrich Himmler KBO
Final Solution Has anyone seen the HBO production 'Conspiracy' about the Wannase Conference where 'the final solution' was agreed - 'chilling' does not even come close.
Those godless organizations and coporations that backed the economic conditions that allowed a monster to be born, like littel Adolf.
