Most useless weapon of the 20th Century

In WWI the Canadians had a shovel that had a hole purposely in it. SO in theory the soldier could stick the shovel in the ground and shooty thru the hole, elt sjust say it didnt worjk too well in the mud and the blaade wasnt big enought to completely cover the sopldiers head.
