Very nice Bronk!! Who's the maker on the KC? Looks to have a lot of its frosting left, do you have the case? I like the pennants and fraunschaft pins too.

I had 2, sold one...you know I had these on WAF,GCA, AHF, and I think someone did ID the makers, but I don't remember..if you go to those forums, my name bronk, there are better pics....also had 2 Spangen[s?]...yes, I have case and ribbon...the GIs seemed to know what to get....I used my brothers camera before..I thought I saved the good pics..if not I will try to get some more...the pins are in PERFECT condition...I love just looking at them...I have the regimental book, and it says when they [ 179th ] got to Munich, they went on a souvenir hunt !!

Australia...we had a huge (for Australia) pilot and crew training program...finished off in Canada often before becoming operational...
My grandfather was a great pilot, but after crashing three aircraft in night training, twice clipping power lines....they realised he had night blindness...so they offered a test pilot job, which he took.
Didn't know this when he was alive to my annoyance...the other grandfather was ground crew, loaded bombs apparently...
