Newbe here but not to the military collecting field as I'm been doing it for many years.
I see folks post photos of their collections here and I have seen some real nice collections. I enjoyed looking at those collections as I can appreciate and identify with the time and effort it took to find all the items. Also I can identify in their enjoyment in being able to share their collections with others that would appreciate the items in their collections
So, having said all that, I thought I would show my collection here also. I have put together what you might call a fairly large collection of items dating from the US civil War through WWII.
To save all the time and effort it would take to post all the photos here, as there are a ton of them, it was just easier to post a link to a site I had already posted my collection on. I Hope folks who take a look will enjoy it.
The site restricted items to basically US only but I have a number of WWII Japanese and German items that I could post here later, Ray

Hi Ray, that's a fantastic collection and puts mine to shame. I also admire that you have Civil War stuf, i've thought about dabbeling into that area myself-mostly cloth itmes are of interest-like Sergeant stripes adn such. Anyway, thanks for sharing asuch a nice and widly diverse collection of militaria. If I had any :salute:s left for the day, i;d give you one. How about 29 Reps? ;-))

    Best regards-C.

PS, any chance in coming across a Johnson Bayonet? I've only seen two in 26 years of collecting-both unfortunately-in Museum collections.

Here's a better view of the helmet on the German Infantry display. Notice the soldier had twisted the wire into small loops all around to better able to insert leaves, twigs etc, Ray

My mouth is just open in awe! Thank you for sharing this with us , it's a real privilege to see such great items. I realize most collectors from your level don't always share their collection publicly so I'm all the more impressed. Thank you again !

That helmet is awsome to say the least.

I used to have a (named w/ rank) DD LW M-35 but it got ""lost"" (STOLEN) in the mail when I was shipping it to someone I was making a deal with. This happened about 12 years ago, and im still ticked as hell about it.

A reminder of the horrors of war.
This T-99 Japanese rifle was taken from a dead soldier in a bunker after he was killed by a flame thrower. The stock is charred in several places and the burn marks are consistent with the damage that would have been caused by a gun exposed to a liquid flame spray splatter from a flame thrower being limited to small areas on different sides of the gun, Ray

Here's a nice camo helmet that I have on the German sniper display. It came out of the foot locker of a Major who brought it back with a number of other neat items. Ray
