    Hi there,

I work for an antique appraiser and collector, and recently a client brought in these two metal pieces dated 8/7/1942 and 6/4/1942. They're metal pieces and they look like they are naval, because they're also labeled for the USS Strong, and the USS Nicholas.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what exactly these parts are, and what they were used for. Any information would be very useful and appreciated. We want to make sure we have the most detailed information possible about our inventory.

Attached are a few pictures of the pieces, please feel free to take a look and tell me what you think!

    Thank you,

    -Jacque

If you don't get any firm information here you might try contacting the Naval History and Heritage Command in Washington.
