Can everyone please refrain from posting these flipping links for the next few weeks, as Im having trouble keeping pace.... And Im on the damn pc most of the day for the last 3 weeks.

No problem. Had me concerned there. What is the ole saying, The only thing that separates us is the Atlantic and the common language.

Carl - I thought two sentences of the Stalingrad speech were:

I wollte nur an die Wolga kommen.
An einen bestimmten Stadt, an einen bestimmte Stelle.

Translation: I just wanted to reach the Wolga. At a certain city, at a certain place.

I think I have a little of this speech on cd.

Volkbert--you might be correct. I thought it was much longer than that though, maybe im getting it mixed with one of his Christmas speeches?

The speech was definitely longer than these two sentences. These are the only ones I know by heart.

Do you the speech about the have-nots? I have it on cd. Years ago I tried to learn it because it sounds so funny. It starts with: 'Nur bin ich die Vertreter der Habenichtse gewesen. It means: Always I have been the representative of the have-nots.

    More propaganda:

    Sex and Psyops...

    http://www.psywarrior.com/sexandprop.html

The Allied at one point even planned dropping nude pics to EagleĀ“s nest because the OSS believed this would drive Adolf crazy and end the war...well, interesting idea, boys...

    -----------

Also a nice definition on propaganda:

As Dean Acheson remarked "...propaganda is that branch of the art of lying which consists in very nearly deceiving your friends, without quite deceiving your enemies."

    ;)

haha! im thinking that if they were capable of dropping porno on the eagles nest, that bombs might have been a better alternative to dampen Hitler's spirits. (or his life)

Here is an excerpt but have not been able to find the whole speech.

"I wanted to reach the Volga, to be precise, at a particular spot, at a particular city. By chance it bore the name of Stalin himself. But don't think that I marched there just for that reson, it was because it occupies a very important position...I wanted to capture it and, you should know, we are quite content, we have as good as got it! There are only a couple of small bits left. Some say: 'Why aren't they fighting faster?' That's because I don't want a second Verdun, and prefer instead to do the job with small assault groups. Time is of no importance to me. No more ships are coming up the Volga. And that is the decisive point!"
