My Great uncle John Spawn had fought in WW2 he was in the 166th Newfoundland Field Regiment. Sadly that is all I know. If somebody could dig things up I would appreciate it so much. One thing though, I found this: 166th in Italy History(2nd ed) Not by him, but it was written by another Vet. Im sure you all know how I feel. Thanks,Dustin
There are quite a few stories available on the net. Here is an interesting one: The Telegram - St. John’s, NL: Local News | War and remembrance
Thanks for that, also more information: his full name was John Wilson Spawn(possible one more l in wilson) and he helped operate the artillery guns themselves. I am not sure of what the Artillery was he used though. Please help me!
