Maybe this should be in another place, but I am looking for a leather shotgun sling that will actually go on a rifle. It needs to have the one end hook to a swivel on the barrel and the other end leather strap that goes around the stock. He just bought a beautiful new rifle and doesn't want to drill a hole in the stock to add the swivel for the sling. He hunts with all his rifles no matter how valuable they are. I am hoping to find something but the only one I found was at Cabela's and it had "Rugar" stamped big on the front. I have done several google searches and haven't found a simple leather one. Any ideas where to look?

I've had custom leather slings made for a few of my rifles, mostly by local guys though. Always came out great. I'm glad to hear your dad hunts with his rifles no matter the value. I have no wall hangers either. I made all my shotgun slings out of paracord....depending on width I've got 25-50 feet of braided cord in each one. Always good to have.

Nice! You should post a write-up on how you tie/braid those. Or slap it up over at Instructables - Make, How To, and DIY

Thank you everyone. I have been checking out the sites and letting him know what I have found. They are everywhere in a nylon type, but harder to find in the leather he wants. The custom might be the way to go.
