So, I was given a few items when my great-grandparents passed. Much of it being war-related items. I received a pin that is clearly the SS symbol, but it is different than anything I can find. First of all, it has a screw and washer/bolt in the middle to attatch it to something, but I don't know what. I have been told it may not be authentic (I think so myself, to be honest), but the thing is: everything else that was with it was genuine. Pins, ration books, a guide to Australia, all of it was legit, so why would there be one fake in all of this? Anyways, thank you in advance for your help.

I'd actually opt for a home made pin, possibly WW2 area, but nothing official.
