Osprey has just released a new book on painting and modelling the Bf 110G-4 night fighter. check: www.hyperscale.com and look for what's new. From here you will see the write up on it with a few pics. Looks interesting to me.... Grüß ~E
just called squadron-ssignal and they have the book on order for $15.97. Evidently Osprey in the UK has them in stock.... ~E
Here it is - I shall definitely be buying a copy... http://www.ospreypublishing.com/title_detail.php/title=S7042~per=46
Martin, looks as though you will have a copy before me.........oh rats ! I have asked if there are any ww2 period pics in the book as cross reference but have heard nothing yet. incidently I have thought very seriously about my own book on the Ju 88G-6 with the hint of going along some similiar lines with ww2 pics and possibly several of the 1/48th Dragon kit's being specialized as there are several nice radar configs now available on the market........hmmmmmmmmmmm, brain freeze here , this sounds interesting and will have to think about it. ~E
The model of the Blohm und Voss Bv 155 V1 is pretty good looking also. I liked your other name of "E #1 " better but I guess you would rather have you old score back and not start all over again !
Just bought a copy of Brett Green's Bf110 book in Hannants Modelshop, Hendon. This is definitely one for the modelling 'nut', going into the most intricate lengths of how to build super-detailed Bf110 models in 1/48 scale ; and plenty about nightfighter variants. BUT NOTE : the book only has photos of models and modelling techniques, so no contemporary aircraft plans or photos. In this respect the book is unlike the 'Modeller's Datafile' series on British aircraft. Having said which, the book is enthusiastically-written, is an aboslute 'must-have' for anyone contemplating modelling this great aircraft, and the book is very reasonably priced. There is also a very comprehensive bibliography plus list of useful websites. Now - how about one on the Me-262 ?
how about one on the Mossie XXX or Ju 88G-6 ? have already approched Breet on the German variant but he seemed a little hesitant since I want to run at least 200 pages of text and pics......still think I will do it myslef when the time permits and I finish my vet interviews. ~E ¿iܬ
