Canadian residents will soon see a slight change in their pocket change but Belleville residents are getting a sneak peek of a new coin soon to go in to circulation.

A special ceremony has been scheduled to the take place at the Belleville Armouries this morning where the Royal Canadian Mint will unveil the 2010 poppy quarter. The new 25 cent piece, which has been created to thank veterans on the 65th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, won't officially go into circulation until later this week.

Good, the more honour we can pay to our vets the better.

Thanks, Nigel. I'll keep my eye out or will have to see when the Mint will take orders.
