Since this is the 70th anniversary of Iwo Jima flag raising I thought i would do this.
Fr. Charles F. Suver, S.J. "The Jesuit of Iwo Jima"

Fr. Charles F. Suver, S.J. "Mass at Iwo Jima"
Jesuit Father Charles F. Suver, a native of Ellensburg and a 1924 graduate ofSeattle College, celebrated Mass prior to the famed flag raising.

I remember asking an Army Chaplain why there was a Chaplaincy on the battlefield...People killing ...so basic, animalstic actions and reactions...the Chaplain smiled and said thats where God was most needed on Earth...my respect for them soared...and my esteem is still very high...
