I am the adopter of the grave of PFC Bernard van der Steen at the American Cemetery Margraten in The Netherland. Since five years I'm also conducting a historical research on this soldier. I found his 52-1 form, report of death, dated May 21th, 1945. Additional data says: *Combat Infantryman (G.O. 13, HQ. 27th Armd. Inf. BN-6 apr. 45 Does anyone knows what G.O. 13 means and what the date 6-apr 45 could mean in this sentence? PFC Bernard van der Steen was KIA on April 13th, 1945. Also, any information about the 27th ARM INF BAT is more than welcome.
