Where can I read about all the minor altercations that happened in the air over NE France during the phoney war? I cant seem to find any good information online. I've heard there were several minor attacks from both sides. I'd like to know about any bombing raids or patrols that involved combat.
Did you see this book? Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Fledgling Eagles: The Complete Account of Air Operations During the 'Phoney War' and Norwegian Campaign, 1940 Most of the websites I've come across are sketchy. You might be better served looking at a book.
"Minor" ? Some battles were actually impressive . See Avions Magazine number 157 ( on LELA PRESS ) . It has an article about the November 6th dog fight when 9 French curtiss fighters attacked 27 Me-109s and shot down five of them and damaged three other ones without having one single loss. it has pictures of the crashsites and of the pilots + the stories of the combats.
