I really like the postcard, at least I think it's a postcard. It could easily be the cover for an issue of the Commando comic.

The following group will wrap up the collection. There are other pictures and letters but what is shown are ones that best represent Oberjager Fritzt Kuschich.

The next grouping include many pictures of Oberjager Fritzt Kuschich on leave but include some great uniform shots. Based on my very very limited German he was originally buried in Aquila Italy then reburied at the German War Cemetery at Monte Casino. As always interested to hear feedback and questions,

    Blimey.
Sent while the Crete battle was still on. Day after Maleme.
Quite the incident in FJ history, & barely a week before Cunningham's "300 years to build a tradition"...

This collection astounds me, each posts drops another bomb of historical interest.

My German is poor, but am I correct in that his re-interment(?) doc states his birthday was 5 Jan 1919? geb. being short for geboren?

I need to brush up on my German.

The collection of photos is particularly fascinating. It'll take a little while to process and organize all the information, but this really is the kind of fantastic contribution that never fails to disappoint and will be welcomed with open arms on WW2.org. A terrific post.

Amazing collection and thanks for sharing.

Also a bit sad. War never changes.

Very sad that she never remarried It is a two binder grouping that I need to get organized. Unfortunately there are a lot of hand written letters that are in German that are slowing down things because of needing translation.
