I know that Polish artillary, at least under Soviet command bombarded Berlin from the North. I have been trying to find information on any Polish units attacking Berlin and I am unsuccesulf. So if someone could find something out about the Polish attacking Berlin it would be really helpful. My interest is mostly due to the fast that I have found out that my grandfather who was with Polish artillary fought in northern germany and took part in bombardments on Berlin. Any information would be appreciated.

Edit~ I found out recently that 2800 Polish casaulties during battle for Berlin, but it is a source I don't trust 100%.

i jest of course, the polish fought like lions on every front..fighting the blitz and the red army in 39 ,then in the raf and in north africa and in the red army(ironic ,no?)...the poles fought a long and tragic fight from the very beginning..the katyn woods ,the warsaw upriseing ...and cold betrayal by stalin...i try to make my freinds chuckle when i can...but i veiw the veterans of ww2 with awe...especially the poles, russians, finns and even the hardbitten landsers...im a yankee mogrel of french, irish, german english blood..... all and any ethnic jabs are cordially welcome...yes french rifle, never fired dropped only once....cheap!.....please forgive me gunter...may your grandfather partie forever in valhalla with his iron red armie brethren....
