President of the Continental Congress, of which Hanson was, is entirely different than the President of the United States.

Nor was Hanson the first President of the Continental Congress, that was Peyton Randolph. Further, there were 7 others who had held the office before him, but he was the 9th President of the Continental Congress - Peyton Randolph would hold the office twice(1st & 3rd).

Hanson's claim to "fame", if you can call it that, was that he was the first President of the Continental Congress to serve a full term(1 year).

I bet, as a Canadian, you have never heard of Payton Randolph. Don't worry though, I'd bet most Americans have never heard of him either.

They should at least have an asterisk beside their names in the wiki list of presidents.
Found the info interesting. Can say i learned something today.

President Obama strikes me as a decent human being.

Just a funny thought Poppy, after listening to Hillary's yelling on the campaign trail, can you imagine what Bill must have gone through after the Monica affair. It's no wonder his hair turned white and he had a heart attack. Not condoning his affair, just thinking what a terrible price he paid. I've been considering a move to Canada after this election, or maybe New Zeland.

I recently saw a FB post regarding the plan to drop Jackson from the $20 bill in favor of Harriet Tubman. The post had a picture of the $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills with a caption stating that only Presidents should be on US currency. Ben Franklin, who appears on the $100, was never President. Interestingly, I have a book titled, "Savage Seas", which made a similar mistake. In relating a brief bio of Franklin, it listed "President" among his accomplishments.

I saw the post, Tommy. In addition to Franklin, Hamilton was also never president. There are a lot of mistakes on FB.

I'd have to see the post, as Franklin was President...of Pennsylvania.

I don't picture Obama sleeping around like fellow Democrats Clinton or JFK... I mean.
It was in regards to the post directly above it in regards to young Democrats and Monica Lewinsky..

Good point. It only said "Presidents", but didn't specify. That makes for a lot of potential candidates. Hamilton does seem like a logical exception since he was the first Secretary of the Treasury.

Personally, I think it should be limited to American citizens of historical significance who made a positive contribution and have been dead for 100 years or more. Beyond that, I don't really care that much.

Think hillary got her hands on the CIA heart attack gun?
Heard a story where Bill told Jennifer Flowers that hillary eats more pie than he does.
Hillary is a damn liar, and to hear Lena Dunham wax on about h's achievements is laughable.
Want to start a petition to keep Dunham out of Canada if Trump wins.
You'd be welcome here with open arms B42.

After the look Michelle gave him after that selfie with the blonde PM at the get together a while ago I doubt he has anything in his pants to sleep around with.

I am attracted to the First Lady.. To be honest.
I even hooked up with this girl once from East London who looked like Michelle Obama a bit... That was cool - real diamond in the sack.
