Looking for anyone with information on two Quartermaster Battalions that received Army Meritorious Unit Citations in the China Theater in 1945? The units are the 93rd Quartermaster Battalion Hqs&Hq Detachment and Medical Detachment and the 178th Quartermaster Battalion Hqs & Hq Detachment and Medical Detachment. These units were awarded the army Meritorious Unit Citation GO 136 15 Jan-15 Jul 45 Hqs,SOS, USFCT,dtd 1945. The two units mention Medical Detachments. What size Medical Unit would this be? What kind of Medical Unit would it be? Any information on these units and where they were located would be appreciated.
