    My ancestors are from the Rhine delta around Rotterdam and The Hague. My avatar isn't in Dutch it's German and it's a genuine humoristic toilet sign that was displayed in Paris in 1940. It says "he who must go can go there". You will notice the man who seems in a hurry and took a newspaper...

    Bigfun you'd be laughing even more if I told you I used to be your neigbour (and Otto's and Peppy's + etc..) when I lived in Wisconsin. I actually know the Loop quite well.

    Jan, any particular reason why choose Jan 7 a sa date?

    7 is the sume of the ciphers of my birth and year of this.

    7= 1+9+6+0 and my year = 1960 the date 1/9/60

    -thinks of the born in the XXth Century-

    Thanks jan7, I was hoping this was related to the bombing of Ludwigshafen on Jan7 1944.
    Bigfun. I lived in Milwaukee and remember a huge entertainement park on the road to Chicago near the Wisconsin border and not far from lake Michigan . I also used to go north towards Appleton and Greenbay to the lakes.

    I had to ask just in case you had something to do with it. This is also a nice way to ask how old you are. Thanks for the explanation.

    Sorry for the double post I clicked enter too fast.
    The reason why I know your area is because I did some research there when I was student in Milwaukee. I'm not talking about the Summerfest park there but about Six Flags in Illinois (If I remember the name correctly) .

    The day before of this bombing you cite are celebrated in the catholic religion as the Adoration of Jesuchrist by the "Reyes Magos".
    And a sacrilege question, no? If are realizated that day:cool:

    In Spain, the children receives the Christmas presents and gifts the morning of these day from the "Reyes Magos".....[IMG]

    yep that's it! This brings old memories back. I remember getting lost at O'Hare looking for the Greyhound station at the arrival level, whereas it is in fact a level below , which is not visible when you leave the main hall. I used to commute from there to Wisconsin all the time.

    I remember some things of the lands near you:
    Means Google Maps, I can show to all you my city, Collado Villalba, at 40 Km of Madrid where I born

    The virtual trips are nice, but the reals, more too. Means the Shortwave listening.....
