    (1925 - 2007)

    WAUSEON - The Rev. James K. Stewart, 81, of Defiance, Ohio, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
    Born Dec. 22, 1925, at Jackson, to Cora (Hughes) and Will Carleton Stewart, he married Virginia Smith on Aug. 16, 1950, and she survives.
    A graduate of Asbury College, he was a Navy veteran of World War II.
    Prior to his retirement, he served in many churches throughout Ohio, most recently Northcreek United Methodist until April of this year.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Joy Stewart of Defiance; two sons, James (and wife, Connie) Stewart of Wauseon and David (Marge) Stewart of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Brandon (Colleen) Stewart, Kyle Stewart, Troy (Cassie) Stewart and Aaron Stewart; three great-grandchildren, Zac Stewart, Emolee Stewart and Hailey Stewart; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Maggie Dominique; and four sisters, Bonnie Turk, Ruby Evans, Clarabelle (and husband, Fred) Trepanier and Barbara (Sam) Moore.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
    Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Beulah United Methodist Church, rural Winameg, with Pastor Tom Tamblin to officiate. Interment will follow in Winameg Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
    Arrangements are by the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
