    Richard Winters

Major Richard "Dick" D. Winters (January 21, 1918 – January 2, 2011)[1] was a United States Army officer and decorated war veteran. Some snaps that I am uploading was of Major Winters.

Major Winters was a true soldier, loved by his men. There was talk of him getting the medal of honor badge, don't know if this did happen before his death thou?

For a different perpective on Winters, Lt. Ed Shames talks about Maj. Winters at 47:27 min. He also discusses Ambrose. Shames briefly served under Capt. Lewis Nixon (not. Richard M. Nixon who was USN during WW II)
