    I am very sad to report that Ritterkreuzträger Helmut Rüffler of JG 3 passed away on 21 September 2001 in Niederkassel.

    Guys, if you are waiting to send a letter out to any vets, now is the time to do so.

    Thanks for the update :( and I have another one for you. Rudolf Trenkel passed away too, I dont have a date though. :(

    I agree and stronly--STRONGLY urge you who wish to start writing them to do so now. Just look at the lists of updates on the ww2 today forums I been making lately--that it stresses out points on writing.
