    a shorter war with the same result.

    The UK and commonwealth, supported by the Lend Lease, were desperate for any front and had already decided to commit significant resources to the desert arena. German high command on the otherhand had decided that North Africa was irrelevent when put in the context of their main thrust, Russia.

    Had Rommal not fought a mobile offensive battle the allies would just has enmassed huge superiority and then rolled him over.

    hmmm, i doubt that. Rommel was allawed to do offensive operations when the 15th panzer had arrived. This was end may. So, once Rommel had his panzers, he would go offensive, it would be a though fight but if he had made it through the British line, we have the same kind of dessert war as history
