Ruben Lagus (October 12, 1896 - July 15, 1959) was a Finnish Major General. Lagus was one of the Finnish Jaeger troops trained in the volunteer Royal Prussian 27th Jäger Battalion. During the Winter War he was in charge of the supplies of the troops fighting in Karelian Isthmus. In the Continuation War he first was the commander of the Jaeger Brigade and later the Armoured Division. He was the first soldier to be awarded the Mannerheim Cross on July 22, 1941.
Great to hear were your nick is from and welcome abord, hope you will enjoy your time here with us Regards, Che.
Welcome to the forum, Lagus. May I ask why you admire this specific general so much that you use his name as a nickname? Hey Che, who's that guy whose name you're using, anyway?
I choose him because without him finnland would be now russians, beause when he was fighting at talin ihantala all was on him if he couldnt defence russians attack before reinforcoments come the russians could now own Finnland. Ill edit this post beter when i know how to say this other way now its said wery badly i think... SRY MY BAD ENGLISH :S
I donno about that Finland might be Russian now. Maybe a former Soviet State. Hehehe I come from Poland (Stalin didnt like us very much).
