GLASFORD ~ Russell Lyle Zeine, Sr., 83, of 13723 W. Zeine Lane, passed away at 6:40 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2008 at Toulon Health Care Center. Born July 9, 1924 in Timber Creek Township, rural Peoria County to Henry and Velda (Waughop) Zeine, he married Eleanor Joan Bridgman on August 28, 1950 in Glasford. Surviving are his wife; 3 sons, Gordon Zeine of Bartlett, Tennessee, Bradford (Deanna) Zeine of Glasford, and Russell (Anita) Zeine, Jr. of Mapleton; 1 daughter, Marie (Doug) Haage of Glasford; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Merle Zeine of Irvine, California, Harvey (Janice) Zeine of Glasford, and Raymond (Judy) Zeine of Springfield, Missouri and 3 sisters, Melba Tucker of Mapleton, Phyrne Howard and Shirley (Ed) Sorrentino, both of Bigfork, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Donald Zeine; and 1 sister, Hazel Tomevi. Russell was a self-employed carpenter for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Russell was a member of the Glasford American Legion Post #35 for 65 years and the Carpenters Union Local #644 for 60 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Lancaster Cemetery in rural Glasford. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Glasford American Legion Hall. The Rev.
