Quite a few Russian WWII mini-series have been produced since 2000. Many of these have been translated into English by the Russian/Ukrainina company Star Media. Furthermore, most of them are available for free downloads on YouTube. The technical qualities are surpricingly good but one should keep in mind that these series are all B-rated at best.

These are the series I have found;

1. Enemy Wings (2011) – 6 Episodes
2. Hunting for the Gauliter a.k.a. The Hunt for the Gauliter (2008) – 10 Episodes
3. To Kill Stalin a.k.a. Kill Stalin (2013) – 8 Episodes
4. Mata Hari (2016) – 12 Episodes (WWI)
5. Officers’ Wives (2015) – 12 Episodes
6. Save Our Soles (2008) – 12 Episodes
7. Sky on Fire (2010) – 12 Episodes
8. Spies Must Die (2007) – 8 Episodes
9. Spies Must Die. Blast Wave (2012) – 4 Episodes
10. Spies Must Die. Snake in the Grass (2012) – 4 Episodes
11. Spies Must Die. The Crimea (2008) – 8 Episodes
12. Spies Must Die. The Foc Hole (2012) – 4 Episodes
13. The Attackers (2013) – 12 Episodes
14. The Attackers 2: The Last Fight (2015) – 12 Episodes
15. The Bomb (2013) – 8 Episodes
16. The Dawns Here are Quiet (2016) – 4 Episodes
17. The Night Swallows (2012) – 8 Episodes
18. Three Days in the Life of Lt. Kravtsov (2011) – 4 Episodes
19. Under Military Law (2015) – 12 Episodes
To extract the subtitles you need first download and install Google2.srt.

Thanks. I just started watching Attackers on You Tube. Interesting. The effects are video game quality, but the live action is okay. Sharp image and interesting characters. Refreshing to see something other than American or British action series set in World War Two.

I have watch many Soviet / Russian WWII films and series and some of the best are really top quality. But, like Westers producers, there are also lots of B-grade and propaganda titles.
