Today I wanted to find online a sample of a US Army service record from WWII. I found this for an Army Air Force soldier/airman.

These are the files that were 80% destroyed by fire in the 1970's.

One of the things I was most interested in was a record of his Military Occupational Specialty, MOS. Unfortunately I do not see any entries that provide information about the assignment or certification of an MOS. The student record shows he trained as an aircraft mechanic but there is no three digit code assigned.

If anyone finds, or knows of, other samples please post a link.

Earthican, I have a complete copy of my brother's service record from the archives. On page 4 it shows his Army Specialty and mos number. For some reason, the sample of the airman shown is blank on page 4. Since the army Air Corp was an arm of the Army the Service Records should be the same.
I would be happy to copy and send you the complete record by USPS if you like--I'm not good at uploading stuff.
I'll give you my email address by pm and get your address.

You don't seem to have a real page 4-- what I see is an "insert to page 4", which looks like an add-on. It looks like the page you really need is missing. I wonder if the "insert" is loose, or if it is pasted to the real page 4.
