Hello everyone, I found an old dog tag I believe is from WWII. It was buried in a field so most likely it was lost..I would like to return it to the person or family it belongs to. Does anyone know how I can find out who this tag belongs to?

I tried going into a local recruiting center and the VFW but so far nobody can help me.

I echo that. A picture of the tag would be most helpful. It would also help if you could tell us where you found it. A name would be great. The more information you can give us will help us in your quest. What you want to do has been done before. There are many here that can aid you. You are to be commended for your efforts,
