Is it possible to search the MACRs for names if the date is known? I subscribed to Fold3 and see that they are only filed by aircraft number. I have the name of the KIA, the date, and the theater and would like to learn more. There may be a vendor besides Fold3. I am willing to pay a reasonable fee.

You have tried searching through them?
    Missing Air Crew Reports, WWII
I ran William through the MACR search and got over 20000 hits.

Sometimes searching by service number works pretty good, too.

I got into the search function for MACR. I am looking for medical corps men who were passengers on flights, but did not find these names. One man was MIA and the other was killed in a crash.

I'm interested in John Edwin Adams, MAJ, MIA on 24 January 1944 in North Africa or the Med. His name is on the memorial in Italy.

1LT Richard Booth, Jr., was killed in a plane crash in Germany on May 12, 1945.

Any ideas how to hunt for more information?
