I am looking for a good book on U-Boats that contains lots of images and technical diagrams. I have looked thru Amazon.com but it is difficult to ascertain which ones have technical diagrams and images without holding the book. Any recommendations are appreciated.
I am waiting for the price to fall on this one or a good second hand copy. Amazon.com: The U-Boat: The Evolution and Technical History of German Submarines: Books: Eberhard Rossler The Best U-Boat site uboat.net - The U-boat War 1939-1945 Sorry it's not much help.
If your looking for pictures go with Bucheim's book, "U-Boat War", or "Wolf Pack, The Story of the U-Boat in WWII," can't remember the author on that one.
I got this one, I picked it up in a book fair for £5.00 not bad going. There are some tech drawings and a good selection of photo's.
E.R.'s book is what you want I think experten Herr Kaleun would agree, loaded with history and tech specs on the U-boots in service and experimental and after war........... get it asap before it goes up in price again ......... got mine for US 50.00
