chapter 1 july 26th 1943 sicily sgt joe smith of the british 35th division prepared his men for an assault on a german held hill west of their camp alright chaps today we show the jerries what this division is all about but sarge what if we dont take that hill stop with that talk corporal we will take that hill regardless of losses chapter 2 july 27th 1943 that morning joe and his platoon along with the rest of the 35th prepared to take hill 571 west of their camp alright men we are to assault and take this hill captain blake marriott finished the briefing with a message to his men make sure that when you have taken the hill be sure that the jerries will not try to take it back chapter 3 july 27th 1943 hill 571 sicily sgt joe smith took his platoon to a ridge near the top of the hill and opened fire on the germans holding it corporal smith get on the radio and ask captain marriott to bring up the rest of the division okay sergeant 25 minutes later the rest of the 35th division came up the hill to help sgt smith to eliminate the remaining german troops on hill 571 joe we have a few prisoners here okay then i'll interrogate them straight away corporal why were you trying to kill my wounded with a bayonet because they were nearing death feldwebel thats great but i am not a german sergeant am i i am a british sergeant and you will address me as sergeant not feldwebel is that clear okay whos next in line for interrogation corporal a lieutenant sir send him in okay lieutenant what were your men trying to do to my wounded trying to kill them as they still had weapons on them
