Service in the Bundeswehr regarding WW2 medals...

    A specific example-Gunter Viezenz.
    After the reissue of awards in 1957 under the new German Democratic Government, would Viezenz have worn his Tank Destruction Badges on his arm?
    If not-how would it be recognised that he did in fact have balls as big as church bells and had stood up to and destroyed 21 enemy tanks???

    He would have word 4 Gold TDBs and one Black TDB. Same as ww2.
