I have been collecting WWII for many years. I am not talking about the ragular issues frm each counties but more like the "back of the book" cinderella material that is unknown to many people and sometimes very rare. This is a very interesting collection that relates the History of WWII. It delas with occupied territoriries issues, underground issues, surrounded battle area pocket covers, annexed territories, ss volunteer legion issues, camp issues, liberation stamps and many more. For a start I will post a few of my "treasures". If ther eis interest I will post more. I have lots of things to share with you!

Skipper post away friend, I have an interest as well as my father was given his fathers collection, though my grandfather was up in years he was in the upper eschelon ~ somewhat secret I must say so will not give his unit, he was actually serving on the Ost front for US forces............crazy huh ? back to topic he wa able to gather a very large collection of WW 2 and pre-war third reich stamps now in my Fathers possession and this is what really got him interested as one of his side line hobbies, I do know he has sold several huge albums for some big bucks so will have to bug him to send them up this way for copy purposes, I have seen the collection quite impresssive

Avery rare registered 1945 letter fro the Colmar Pocket (Alsace front) . This is possibly one of the last items sent in this area before the allies launched their final offensive. The registration label is from a village next door, but despite the chaos the germans kept their administrative discipline until the vey end and the letter was delivered.

Glad you like it! They are all WWII issues, not post war commemorations. I am only interested in genuine war time period issues, from all participating countries.

Issues from the war time Croatian Oustachi regime (Ante Pavelitch)

Cheers, here are some other rare stamps. They are called "schwarzungen" in German. They are black dots put on Nazi symbols after VE Day. The authenticity is proven by the May 1945 days cancellations.

Some more quite rare local overprints, mostly from Soviet occupied parts of Eastern Germany in May 1945.

Some cities are easy to Identify such as Döbeln or Meissen. The overprint on Adolf's head means "the man who caused the loss of Germany". I'm certain most of you did not know these GrossDeutscheReich issues were still used after the arrival of the Russians! :D
