Soldbuch Kriegsmarine

    Hello guys,

    I have a Soldbuch of the German Kriegsmarine that is issued in August 28, 1943 the person itself is member of the 2. Admiral der Nordseestation. 2.MEA Nordsee does anybody know what this unit did?

    Might get a faster reaction in the information request forum. This part of the merged forums doesn't see a lot of traffic. Will notify an admin. I've seen Soldbuch's discussed in other areas. Since you are really asking about the unit. I'd think the aforementioned information request subforum or one of those more KM oriented would be best. Here are the ones I'd suggest:
    Germany at Sea!
    Atlantic Naval Conflict
    Surface and Air Forces
    Information Requests

    I'd also title it asking for information on the unit in question.

    I did find this page in German Lexikon der Wehrmacht
    You might try using one of the translators on it.

    Most interesting . To be noticed that he apparently went through a recovring place callled DRUHWALD. If it's the one Ifound on the map it's in Niedersachsen , far from the sea. This could be after surgery for example. Note the Lazarett line has been marked over, but on anothe rpage it says he underwent surgery (Bliinddarmarke = appendicitis) .
