    woooow, that is a really good find!.......pity about the condition though......looks like the moths got to it before you :)

    Am not keen on the insignia ... dunno about the cap itself.
    Insignia to me are post war applied, and the skull is the droopy eye fake.
    Would love to be wrong but I have serious doubts on it

    Very nice mate, it is a pity about the condition, but after all it is some 60 years old if it real. It looks real enough to me and the eyes look alright to me.
