Does anyone remember Steel Panthers? I can remember playing it for hours, sometimes against the ai or against my friends. I thought it was a great tank generator game. It came out in two versions as I remember. One was a unit based game and the othe was a squad based game. Either way, great times.

I spent many hours playing Steel Panthers.

It was a great game for a PC.

I agree, I’m not sure but I think that the game is still available. I haven’t played it in years, my friend/ opponent unfortunately passed on. Out of curiosity were you a member of the 45th Infantry division?

Yep. Remember it, and how awful many facets of it were.

According to the site I have >20,000 hours on Age of Empires II HD. It's chess with up to 300 pieces on a size.

I used to play several versions of it regularly. I think is still loaded on my older PC, though it has been several years since I actually played a senerio.

I think the funniest thing I ever saw in that game was a scenario where there was off shore battleship support for an amphibious assault and a 14" battleship shell (HE I suppose) "bouncing off" a StuG III from a direct hit...

In the game, HE had zero effect on armored vehicles...

The StuG was sitting at the correct angle, relative to the path of the projectile.
