At least 24 Pz.IV Ausf H's were sold to Syria after the war, seeing action against Israeli Centurions and M-50 Super Shermans, most, if not all were destroyed or captured... The last Pz.IV was to be destroyed was hit by a Super Sherman in 1967

Does anybody have any further details on the combat performace of these Syrian Panzers? Namely whether they scored any victories and in what circumstances each was destroyed/captured

    Might help.

As far as I know, all were dug in as pillboxes. They exchanged some ineffectual long-range fire with Israeli Centurians, then at a later date, in a similar situation, most were destroyed by long-range fire from Israeli Centurians. Guess who'd been practicing since last time ;)
