    Ok, so I went to the local military museum, and took a couple of pictures of the CV L3/38 , and TKF tankettes. I am really happy to have been able to see these beauties.
    I am really sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, I couldn't bring my camera, so I used my phone.But I hope you can see the basics.

    I don't suppose theres any chance of some pictures inside the tankettes when you next get a chance to go - I'd love to get more of an idea what they were like inside, as i've only seen the UE and some of the British Carden Lloyd ones interiors. Pretty good pics for a camera, thanks :)

    Nigel, I actually looked inside them, and the bottom is all rotting off, and a bit of garbage inside. Some people just have no respect :mad: But looks cramped though :D

    Cheers for the salute!

    You should volunteer to paint it properly - they might let you get it running :)

    of course it's always like that with ones left outside. such a shame, especially for small ones.

    Couple more prototypes, found this interesting French Citroen half-track tankette and what appears to have been called the Willy's Jeep tank (hard to be sure?) :)

    Also came across these;

    The T-17 (Russian)
    and the T-20 halftrack (which i'm not sure as looks totally Russian, but said it was Czech)

    This is a must read in my view - absolutely excellent article about the Renault UE and all it's variants/users/history.

    World War II: Renault UE

    Maximum kudos to the writer :)
