Ive had it with fakers and scammers and forums owners who are pigs. I have decided to quit collecting German Militaria. I will be selling off everything in my collection except for my weapons. Instead of collecting militaria, ill be concentrating my collecting interests to do wirth War and Western Movies.

I am sorry to hear this Carl but I can understand that you get sick and tired with all those scumbags. I have the same trouble here, and everytime I buy something I get never until I can expertise the package. Is it one particular buy that disgusted you or an accumulation of crooks?

you have my email Carl, send me a list , especially your buckles .

I hate those fake sellers who don't mention what they are selling.

ok whose the problem now C ?. hey just take a rest from collecting period; always good to take a breather see what is in the entire collection and go from there. I always say go specific instead of overall general......

would hate to see you unload all the German and then be kicking yourself in 5 years. Heck we all go through a change of era/periods now and again

    hang in there man.

    Carl,
I agree with the others, hold on to your Militia! BUT if you're dead set on getting rid of it I'll make you a deal: send it all to me and I'll keep it in save keeping for you. Just kidding!! I've sold or thrown away some things that I wish I could get back. Ya just never know and don't let a few A##wipes ruin the fun of collecting.

Carl, Erich makes a good point, take a breath, step back and re-assess the situation.

I was conned a few years ago by a dealer at a militaria fair in Birmingham.

I bought a german DRL Sport Badge from a seller there who assured me it was genuine. When I got back home and inspected it closer I discovered it was a fake. By that time there wasn't much I could do as it was a 200 mile round trip back to the fair and I also didn't have the dealers details to contact him.

I guess it was my own fault for not making a more thorough check of the badge before I bought it and rushing in to the sale.

Don't sell your collection, mate, you will most certainly regret it in the future.

    Live and learn.

Never got interested in collecting WWII stuff.

But play a board game that tries to simulate WWII battles.

It's really bad timing but I just received a box FULL of old German documents, postcards etc: that were brought back from a family member serving in the 14th AAF. I guess I'll pick what I want and put the rest on eww-bay.

    Please don't.
I have a dispassion for ebay that is almost fanatical.
I would be interested in anything you don't want....

Heh heh, sorry Gents, I must apoligise and tell ya-Luke got it correct and it was only an April Fools joke ;-)) I was about to leave the library and still had a few minutes of computer time (for a change) and this was the only thing I could think of to come up with ;-))

Would ya all forgive me for a free Rootbeer or a regular Beer? ;-))

I do have a few items id like to part with but, most were already promised to a few Gents here. However, if they are no longer able to get them? no biggie and I can list them again.

Heh heh, no matter how many jerks in this hobby I meet or get shafted by-they couldnt make me want to quit collecting the stuff as Ange (Kruska) puts it-stuff from the "Lesser Period".

However, one thing I did mention above is partially true, I am going to be concentrating on original German photos as well as War Movie stuff for awhile. Its cheaper and doing that will allow me to get some good stuff for you Gents and Suzie and Michelle-to enjoy ;-))

E, I could give free militaria but, it would be only "Merican" stuff

I agree - don't take such a decision in haste, only to repent at leisure.

I do understand your feelings about fakes - it's one of the reasons I've stuck mainly to weapons and ordnance ; relatively fake-free ( so far....)
