Hello everyone, today is September 1st, the 79th anniversary of the start of the world's deadliest, most tragic, and world changing conflict ever, WW2. The war began with the German invasion of Poland in the early morning of the 1st of September, 1939. The Poles fought tenaciously first against the Germans to the West, and then the Soviets to the East a few weeks later. Let us remember the lives lost among civilians, the Poles, the Soviets, and the Germans, in that short, but monumental battle. This event changed the world, and the countries that participated, forever. I have always been fascinated by the Polish history, and their struggle to remain free and independent after hundreds of years of mistreatment and discrimination, while taking on the world's greatest military powers of the time. Their struggle throughout the 20th century against, the Soviets, the Germans, and a changing world, should be an inspiration to us all.
