World's deepest shipwreck discovered - BBC News

If this has been posted already, please delete. The USS Samuel B Roberts was found. The world’s deepest shipwreck.

I wish James Hornfischer was alive to see this.

USS Samuel B Roberts: World's deepest shipwreck discovered

What a great story. I hope the wreck stays where it is. The Battle off Samar us one of the reasons I got interested in WW2. That encounter was the epitome of heroism by the US Navy.

Looks like a duplicate thread. I echo your thoughts about Hornfischer.

Brave men, brave ship. I know of it from Samuel B. Morrison.

Morison was good, Hornfischer is much better.
