Was the opening of Edward R Murrow's news reports from London in the 30's and 40's. You can listen to a few moments of several of his reports at

"Radio Days - Edward R. Murrow"

The sirens in the background and the AAA bursts were eerily evocative of what the Blitz must have been like...

But his report of an actual bombing run to Berlin was extraordinary...

Cool link texson. I remember hearing some of Edward Murrow's radio broadcasts they have so much detail. I love his reports that he gave truly a great reporter back in the 30's and 40's.

If you guys ever get the chance to pick it up, there is a great movie made about Murrow during the MacCarthy era called Good Night, and Good Luck. Fine show, it covers some of Murrow's work during WW2, but only in passing.
