I always used to bump in to Peter Wolf (j. geils band) in Boston Clubs back in the 80's and 90's. I would literally bump in to him because he always seemed to be blocking my way but I never spoke to him and I don't think I ever saw him speak to anyone. By contrast, Gary Cherone from Extreme was always quite a gentleman. At the moment, I am listening to Cavedogs. Anyone remember them?
since im from Puerto Rico i hear Reggaeton,Daddy Yankee,Don Omar,Wisin y Yandel,Arcangel jeje i guess im the only one that hears these music here but id like to hear if you have even heard of the music
Tonight it is Charlie Christian with the Benny Goodman Sextet 1939-1941. He was brilliant and a man before his time.
Joy Division has its place but they just did not have enough releases to merit a "best of" collection. I would just buy their original releases and rely on the complete discography to listen to the songs I wanted to hear. I recall in 1983 going to a used record store and asking all of the staff and patrons to recommend the most depressing music I could buy. I left with a Joy Division CD and Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska.
My playlist this afternoon: Goo Goo Dolls ~ Iris Foo Fighters ~ My Hero Nirvana ~ Lithium Red Hot Chili Peppers ~ Give it Away Buffalo Springfield ~ For What it's Worth Bob Dylan ~ Hurricane Tears for Fears ~ Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Not sure how that got in there but too late to take it out of the burned CD I am bringing with me) Pete Townsend ~ Let My Love Open the Door Goo Goo Dolls ~ Dizzy Allman Brothers ~ Ramblin Man Neil Young ~ Rockin in the Free World Live ~ Lightning Crashes REM ~ The One I Love The Cranberries ~ Linger Soul Asylum ~ Runaway Train Green Day ~ When I Come Around Peter Gabriel ~ Solsbury Hill
All of the Sinatra in my iTunes library. At the moment, Ol Blue Eyes is telling me that I Make Him Feel So Young.
On the way back from Wally-World, I was listening to Old Blue Eyes, Old Red Eyes and Old One Eye sing a live version of Mack The Knife. For the great unwashed out there, that is Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.
AC/DC/s Black ice album soon to be followed by the new Motorhead album motorized play it LOUD MUTHER!
A Canadian Brass Christmas . . . . I am officially in holiday season and my wife and kids are already ready to shoot me.
